Billing & expectations
Refund policy
The moment your video starts generating, it costs us money. That is why we cannot offer this pipeline for free. This page explains what you are paying for, what quality to expect, and how to get help if you are stuck.
0 Start with the samples
Browse the sample videos on our docs overview. That is the style and quality level you should expect. If you want a different editing style, send us a reference and our team can add it to the backlog. For now, what you see there is what you get.
What uses infrastructure
Voiceover generation
Synthesis is billed per generation; it is not free.
Thumbnail generation
Thumbnails use models and APIs; each run has a cost.
Sourcing content
Finding and preparing footage for your video is not free.
Script generation
LLM script writing and structuring also incurs cost.
AI is a tool, not a guarantee
- • These steps are done by AI, and AI is not perfect.
- • We do not promise a 100% perfect video on the first pass.
- • The target is roughly 80% production quality out of the box.
- • We aim to save you most of the time you would spend on sourcing, scripting, and voiceover.
- • We expect you may want a short polish pass to reach 100% for your channel.
Credits & refunds
We may restore credits or otherwise make things right when there is a verified technical failure on our side. We do not refund or credit for creative taste, personal preference, or outcomes that come down to how you prompted or configured the job. You are paying for pipeline processing and infrastructure, not a guaranteed creative result.
What qualifies
Examples of issues we treat as system-level failures when they affect the deliverable in a serious way:
- • Long stretches with no usable footage where visuals should appear.
- • Output file is corrupted, truncated, or won't play in standard players.
- • Narration is missing entirely, or audio is clearly broken, where speech should be present.
- • A large portion of the video is unusable because of an obvious pipeline error (not a subjective edit disagreement).
Reach out via website chat or support@mg.cliptude.com with your Video ID and a short description of the technical problem. We investigate each case. Credits are often refunded automatically for clear system errors; if in doubt, contact us.
What does not qualify
Small imperfections are normal for an ~80% production workflow and can usually be fixed in our editor, your ZIP, or an NLE. For example, we do not issue refunds or discretionary credits for:
- • You don't like the script, wording, or angle — tighten your prompt or use a custom script.
- • A handful of B-roll mismatches while the rest of the video is intact — swap clips in the editor or project export.
- • Voice tone or style you dislike after choosing it without previewing on ElevenLabs first.
- • Runtime a bit shorter or longer than you hoped, unless tied to a clear generation bug.
- • The creative result didn't match your personal expectations — that's not the same as a technical failure.
Before asking for a refund, try fixing the issue in the timeline editor or downloaded assets — it is usually faster than disputing a subjective outcome.
Finish in your favorite editor
ZIP of sourced assets
We provide a ZIP with sourced content you can download, open in the free version of DaVinci Resolve, and adjust cuts, pacing, or swaps before export.
CapCut for quick tweaks
You can also open the final MP4 in CapCut for light edits. A short beginner tutorial (on the order of 30 minutes) is usually enough to get comfortable with the basics.
Voiceover and ElevenLabs
Voiceovers are produced using ElevenLabs, a third-party provider. We are not responsible for a voice you did not preview: it is your responsibility to listen to the voice on the ElevenLabs site (and generate a short sample there) before you commit in Cliptude. The voice you pick is what the system uses. If a voice is a bad fit for your content, that choice is on the creator side, not a platform bug.
Prefer full control? You can upload your own voiceover instead of using a preset voice. See the Voiceover upload guide for how it works.
