How to make videos with Google Antigravity

Google Antigravity's App, IDE extensions and agy CLI share one MCP config. Add Cliptude with serverUrl, sign in once, and Antigravity's agents can research a topic, write the narration and have Cliptude render a finished YouTube video, 6 to 60 minutes long.

Cliptude MCP server URL

https://mcp.cliptude.com/mcp

Streamable HTTP. OAuth: Antigravity registers itself with Cliptude automatically (dynamic client registration); you finish the sign-in from Customizations → Authenticate. Or a headers block with Authorization: Bearer and a clp_ key.

How to connect Antigravity to Cliptude

  1. Open the MCP config shared by the Antigravity App, IDE and CLI: ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json, or <workspace>/.agents/mcp_config.json for one project. In the IDE: the ⋯ menu of the agent panel → MCP Servers → Manage MCP Servers → View raw config.
  2. Add Cliptude under mcpServers with serverUrl (the block below). Antigravity connects to remote servers over Streamable HTTP; the httpUrl field and the old SSE transport are not supported.
    https://mcp.cliptude.com/mcp
  3. Sign in: in the App open Settings → Customizations (in the IDE, the MCP Servers page) and click Authenticate next to cliptude. Finish the Google sign-in; if Antigravity asks for the authorization code, paste it back. The server reconnects on its own.
  4. Antigravity CLI on its own, or a machine without a browser: put a clp_ key from /developers/ in a headers block instead, then type /mcp in agy to reload and see the connection:
    "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer clp_…" }
  5. Start a conversation and ask Antigravity to list your Cliptude templates.

The entry in ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json. serverUrl is the remote field (url also works; httpUrl does not):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cliptude": {
      "serverUrl": "https://mcp.cliptude.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Moving from Gemini CLI? Antigravity CLI does not read ~/.gemini/settings.json. Its migration guide moves MCP servers to ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json and renames url or httpUrl to serverUrl.

Which way should I connect Antigravity to Cliptude?

Remote MCP server

Start here

Paste the URL and sign in with Google. Nothing to install.

Local MCP server

Works

uvx cliptude-mcp with a clp_ key; it can send files from your disk.

CLI and skill

Works

The Cliptude CLI and skill, for agents that run shell commands.

Why make videos with Antigravity and Cliptude?

One config, three surfaces

The App, IDE extensions and agy CLI all read ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json.

Gemini and Claude models

Pick a Gemini model or Claude Sonnet or Opus for the writing and planning.

Schedules in the conversation

/schedule runs a prompt once later or on a cron, so a weekly video can start itself.

Up to an hour long

Finished 16:9 YouTube videos from 6 to 60 minutes, rendered as one MP4.

Real footage and graphics

Cliptude sources footage and archive pictures and builds animated maps, charts, captions and music around the narration.

The price before the build

estimate_credits quotes a job and checks your balance without creating or charging anything.

An Antigravity workflow: research in the App, schedule the next episode

  1. Open the channel's folder as a workspace with the Cliptude skills in .agents/skills/, and type /cliptude-script in the App to start from the narration skill.
  2. Have the agent research the topic and save the spoken narration to narration.md. In the IDE, the agent can use Antigravity's sandboxed Chromium browser, and browser recordings come back as artifacts you can check.
  3. Ask it to call list_templates and estimate_credits, then create_job with the script. For an agent-planned video it uses create_plan_job, check_plan and lock_plan instead. Cliptude returns its review first, with every setting and the credits, and creates nothing until you confirm.
  4. Type /schedule every Monday at 9am, research next week's topic and draft narration.md. The schedule runs as a background task in that conversation.
  5. For a batch from a script, run agy -p with --output-format json. Headless mode cannot ask, so tools that need approval are soft-denied: allow only read tools such as get_job in permissions.allow, and start jobs from an interactive session.

Antigravity skills: add the Cliptude skills to the App, IDE and CLI

Antigravity loads Agent Skills, each a folder with a SKILL.md whose YAML frontmatter needs a description. On every turn the agent sees each skill's name and description and reads the full instructions only when one fits. In the App you can call a skill directly by typing /<skill-name>; the CLI turns skills into slash commands, and /skills reload picks up new ones.

Two folders work everywhere: <workspace>/.agents/skills/ for one project and ~/.gemini/config/skills/ for all of them. The CLI also reads ~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/skills/ and ~/.gemini/skills/, and the IDE still reads the older ~/.gemini/antigravity/skills/; the App reads neither.

The skills CLI supports Antigravity (antigravity) and Antigravity CLI (antigravity-cli). A project install writes to .agents/skills/, which all three surfaces read. Its global installs go to the IDE-only and CLI-only folders, so for the App copy the folders into ~/.gemini/config/skills/ yourself.

Skills can also ship inside plugins, managed with agy plugin list and agy plugin install.

For one project, read by the App, IDE and CLI
npx skills add cliptude/cliptude -a antigravity
For every project, in the folder all three surfaces read
git clone --depth 1 https://github.com/cliptude/cliptude.git /tmp/cliptude
mkdir -p ~/.gemini/config/skills
cp -R /tmp/cliptude/mcp_server/skills/cliptude /tmp/cliptude/mcp_server/skills/cliptude-script /tmp/cliptude/mcp_server/skills/cliptude-plan ~/.gemini/config/skills/

Antigravity vs Claude Code for making YouTube videos

Both read your files, so both can upload your own voiceover to Cliptude, and both load the three Cliptude skills. Antigravity's draw is choice and price: a free individual plan, Gemini and Claude models in one place, and an App that runs several agents side by side. Claude Code is the more direct terminal setup, with one command to add Cliptude and its own scheduled tasks.

Is Google Antigravity free?

Yes, there is a $0 plan for individuals. Antigravity's pricing page lists it with access to a variety of agent models, unlimited Tab completions and Command requests, and basic weekly rate limits. Google AI Pro adds higher rate limits and a flexible AI credit pool, and Google AI Ultra more again; the page does not print their prices.

Organizations buy through Google Cloud: Standard and Plus seats start at $30 per seat per month, or pay as you go with no seat fee. That route explicitly covers the App, the CLI and the IDE extensions.

No Antigravity plan includes Cliptude. Videos use Cliptude credits, on plans from $19.

What is Antigravity?

Google Antigravity is Google's agent platform for building software. It has a desktop App for running several agents in parallel, the agy CLI for the terminal, extensions for VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, Zed, Xcode and others, and a Python SDK.

Antigravity CLI replaced Gemini CLI for free and Google AI Pro and Ultra users on 18 June 2026.

Antigravity or Gemini CLI?

Since 18 June 2026 Gemini CLI serves Gemini Code Assist Standard and Enterprise and paid API keys; free and Google AI Pro/Ultra users use Antigravity CLI (agy). Both reach Cliptude, with different config files.

What can you ask Antigravity to do?

"Research the 1977 New York blackout, write a 15-minute narration and make it with my Documentary template."

"Every Monday at 9 am, estimate the credits for this week's script in drafts/ and tell me before you start anything."

"Open my last video in the editor, check every scene with view_scenes, and replace any picture held too long."

Tokens from the Authenticate sign-in are kept in ~/.gemini/antigravity/mcp_oauth_tokens.json. A clp_ key in a headers block sits in plain text in mcp_config.json, so keep the workspace copy out of version control.

Long renders: Cliptude jobs return at once and the agent polls get_job, so the default timeout is fine. timeoutSeconds on the server entry raises it if a call ever needs longer.

Which videos can Antigravity make?

Each format is 16:9 and made from a template you save once. On agent-planned formats the agent chooses every shot and graphic itself.

What the Cliptude MCP server can do

44 tools in 7 groups: templates, voices and avatars (9), making a video (8), product videos from a store (4), agent-planned videos (12), your own narration (2), editing a finished video (8), account (1). Your agent sees them all once connected; estimate_credits, create_job and get_job are the ones most videos need. Every tool, with what it does

Troubleshooting

  • The server does not connect: check the entry uses serverUrl (or url), not httpUrl, which Antigravity does not support.
  • Cliptude tools are missing in agy after editing the file: type /mcp and reload the server configurations, or start a new conversation.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add an MCP server to Antigravity?

Add it under mcpServers in ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json (or .agents/mcp_config.json for a workspace), or use Add MCP in the App's Customizations. For Cliptude: serverUrl https://mcp.cliptude.com/mcp, then Authenticate.

Where is the Antigravity MCP config?

~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json for every project and <workspace>/.agents/mcp_config.json for one. The App, IDE and CLI all read it.

Does Antigravity support OAuth MCP servers?

Yes. It handles OAuth itself for servers with dynamic client registration, which Cliptude has; you click Authenticate in Customizations.

Can Antigravity make YouTube videos?

With the Cliptude server, yes. Antigravity writes and plans; Cliptude voices it, sources footage, builds graphics and renders one 16:9 MP4.

What does it cost?

A faceless documentary is 22 credits a minute with your own voiceover and 40 with an ElevenLabs voice, on plans from $19/mo.

Is there a free plan?
